Well It's December

Another year has almost come to an end.

You know what that means. Time to get that Christmas shopping done, decorate the house, bake the cookies, and mail out the holiday cards. Well, there's three things that I don't have to do. Shop, Bake, and Decorate. Hey, that kinda rhymes. Sorry Sue. I hope that everyone has some plans for this Holiday. I know we do.
First off Sue and the girls are coming up to Alaska and we are going to spend two weeks checking the State out.
While we are doing that we are going to go to the North Pole for Christmas!!! We are going to stay in a cabin and go see Santa's Village.I hope that we have fun. This will be a great experience for the girls.
Well a few of you have asked me post some more pictures. So here are some pictures of me up in the North Slope working. Or should I say Kinda working.
I found a hill to do some sledding. I was on my "UNION BREAK" when I did this. And the tire that I am sitting in is used to move the big oil rigs around.
It is starting to get really chilly up here, but it's not bad with the Artic Gear that I have. I will be up here Until January 17 2008. So I will really appreciate the Arizona Desert when I get home.

This Little Artic Fox was Hanging around a job site I was at. It is so cool to see these guys. They always want food, but are very rabid. So we don't feed them. I don't want to get bit and have to go through the shot process. I hear that is more painful than getting bit. This is as brite as it gets a 12:00 noon. This a cool video of a Snowblower.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!!

Well the Thanksgiving Holiday is right around the corner and before everyone knows, it will be Christmas!!! Did you realize that there are only 38 more shopping days left?

Our family celebrated Thanksgiving a little early this year. Brian will be working over the holiday and also for his birthday, so I decided to throw an early celebration just for him. We had a good mixture of people (family, biker friends, old friends, young and old).

I actually cooked my first Turkey! And it actually turned out edible! I couldn't ask for anything more! Of course I had to take a picture of it:

LOOKS GOOD DOESN'T IT????

MOUTH WATERING YET????

All went really well. I wasn't even that stressed out. Which is pretty good for me.

We ended the night with Karaoke. Jason, of course, hogged the mic all night........

The end of the year is rapidly approaching. It has been a tough year for us. We are looking forward to starting fresh in the New Year.

We are headed off to visit Brian in Kenai, Alaska for the Christmas Holiday. We are spending 2 1/2 weeks there. We are really looking forward to seeing this beautiful state. If its anything like the tv shows, we are going to really enjoy every minute of it. The girls and I will be back right before New Years. Brian will not be back in Arizona until the middle of January. It will be hard to ring in the new year without him, but he is always with me.

We hope all is well with everyone. We want to wish everyone a very

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We love you all,

Susan, Brian, Brice, Baillie and Kaelan

and Jason!!!!!

Welcome to the Fall Season

It's October

and Guess who has a Birthday
This Month

Ms. Baillie Marcella
10/09/2000

Don't forget to wish her a happy B-Day
I know that she love Polly Pockets and Cars

So now what else is new. I am back in Alaska and Sue and I have been pretty busy. We have decided to stop doing any kind of landscaping and maintenance. We are now only doing Pool Service. Which is a lot easier and less of a liability. We still have Bryce working for "Susie" with the pools. Still have to kick him in the butt, but he is doing ok.

The girls have a week off of school this month and I don't get to be there. What a bummer!!! Now that I am back working, when I want to be off, I'm on Slope. No biggie. They are going to Flag to see Nana and Papa Krause. They should have some Fun!!!

Well the weather has really dropped on Slope. It is around 20 degrees F and we are starting to see the Snow fall. This is so cool cuz I can be up here then go home and enjoy the great weather. I have seen the Northern Lights and it is like you can touch them here. The Lights haven't been to brilliant but I am told that they will get better.
I hope that everyone is having a good year so far. Cuz it is almost over and time to start making plans for next year. Where will we be, What will we do? I know that this should be on everyones mind. It's that time to change things that you want to change. i.e. business ideas (new or better ideas for current business), future kids ( for those that want more), possibly a new house, or job. Who know the sky is the limit.
Well enjoy life, Right!!!!
Love to all,
BriBri

Az Mirage Catastrophe

Well What went WRONG!!!!!!

Everything that Sue and I worked so hard for is GONE!!!

How you should ask.

Shelby was working and he was driving down the road when This Happened!!

As you can see we lost EVERYTHING!!!! Well At Least Shelby is OK. That's all that I can ask for. I don't what we would have done if he got hurt.

Now we need to decide if we will continue or close the doors. Please keep us in your prayers cuz we could really use it now.

So how did the fire start is the question. The Fire department says that it is the lawnmower that started it. But with all of the chemicals we had it is hard to tell. Surprise fire had the hazmat team out there. They had the truck tied up for about nine hours before the tow company could take it.

So Susie is very Stressfull right now. Give her a call and give your support because I am still in Alaska and I am not too helpful being up here. She would probably enjoy some kind voices right now.

Now what do we do.

Thanks for all of the comments that I have been recieving. It keeps me going. Also email me or Sue when ever you want to just say Hi or something.

What have I been Doing

A lot of you are wondering what it is that I actually do.

Well here it goes. I am working on the Largest Oil Field in Northern America up in
Prudhoe Bay Alaska.

It is the size of a Middle Eastern Country oil field.

It is Owned and Operated by BP

I am doing internal inspection of pipe throughout the field using a Radiation Source and Doing Ultrasonic testing.

That can be from working in a Facility or out in the Tundra on the Pipe.

Here is a Photo of the "Camera" that we use.

The body is what hold the Pill size Source and is surrounded in Lead.

We then use the really long crank (that is to get us safely away from the radiation when it is exposed) to expose the source so that it can put and image on the film.

The Smaller tube after the camera is called the guide tube. And at the end of the guide tube is Collimator. The collimator is what directs the Radiation towards the image that we are looking for. That camera weighs 54 lbs. It gets a little heavy towards the end of the night.

I will show more soon so keep checking back.

Anyways anyone wanting to send a letter or package can.

Just remember it takes about a week for me to get it.

Also only send stuff by United States Postal Service.

UPS, FEDEX, and DHL will probably take a year to get.

August 2007

Hello Again

Well what a three weeks it has been.

My "GREAT" HP computer that I purchased from

"BESTBUY" died on me two days before I left the North Slope.
So that is why I haven't done my blog in a while.

But WAIT!!!
There is a brighter side of all of this.

My AWESOME brother Dale from

came to the rescue.

He supercharged my Laptop.
So now I am Lighting fast.

Anyways I hope that everyone is doing good.

Susie has Arizona Mirage http://www.arizonamirage.com/

running smooth. She has really been a great supporter of what I do.

No big hickups. So that is good.
So I will be Posting New Blogs as the time goes on. I will show pictures of what I am doing and what the future plans may be with me and the GIRLS and Susie and AZ MIRAGE.

Well now that I have that little outburst out of the way, let tell you about my night.

I was working along one of the pipelines and all of a sudden this Bird

No more Orientation

It is Tuesday 6/26/2007 1530 hours

There was an end to all of the safety and orientation after all.

I am going to be working nights as of today Not bad because there is an additional premium for working nights, not to mention not too much politics either. Which that is good. We don't have anyone breathing down our necks.

So I went for a jog last night. It was 30 degrees out and windy. It is a lot different than running on a tread mill. But I did it anyways. I ran three miles. When I got back I stopped by the "local grocery, napa, ace hardware store" and there were about a hundred tourist. I was like why would these people come here. There is nothing here. But anyways the point is that I was Jonesing for a RED BULL. The store just got some in so I was able to stay up all night.

I will post some picture next time. I really haven't had any time to really take some pictures. I can't wait to get home. I want to go ride my HOG. I am bored here. I have been studying to get my Radiographers card. So not too much to do here. Keep checking back, Also if you have Skype and a video camera we can video call each other. It's the best.

You have gotta see this video. This was taking up here in Prudhoe Bay. This is how close nature is to us.

All righty then. Have a good night and I will post to you all again.

Hey Unk this is for you. I was talking to you when I saw this car.

Peace Out Yo

Boring Day

A long day it has been. I am in a room with two other guys and one looks like he is Grizzly Adams. The other guy Denny works with me and he is pretty cool. We didn't get much sleep last night (about 2 hours to be exact). Grizzly is a very loud Breather and snorer. I had 12 Hours of Site specific training today and will resume on Sunday. Then I am going to be working nights starting on Monday.
I miss my BED!!!
Must get some sleep tonite or else I will be a Zombie tomorrow.
But Life is Good! Right?
Take it with a grain of salt.
I am surprised with myself, Why you ask? Well I have a positive attitude.
Hopefully I can continue with it.

Finally made it to Prudhoe Bay

It's FRIDAY!!!

This is me landing in Dead Horse/Prudhoe Bay Ak

It is raining. Kind of a dump. It is really dirty here. Really flat and pretty much nothing here. When we were taking the bus to the camp we had to stop because there were three Carabo in the road. The law states that the animal life has the right of way and you cannot harass the animals. I didnt have my camara, but there will be other chance.

Here is a picture of my camp.

The camp is called the "Rowan Rig"

It Looks like a Barge to me.

Well the roommate is going to bed so I am going to close for now.

Thursday, June 21, 2007

Well here is a blog page so everyone can read.

It is Thursday and I am not in Prudhoe Bay Yet!

Why do you ask, Well it seems that someone gave me the wrong flight information.

I'm kinda bummed about this but hey, I will be there soon, Right?

So I sat in the airport until 4:00pm just to have the counter people tell me that. O well, I get to share my Adventure some more.

I hope that I can add some picture on this one. Well this is just a test so give me some feed back or questions. I need to go and get some FOOD!!!
